Common questions.
What exactly does the Network meter count?+
Billable producer coverage: the producers you hold directly, plus the coverage attributable to the organisations you buy through — minus any producer a linked organisation already pays for. Nobody pays twice for the same farmer: if your exporter, your buyer or a sponsor already covers a producer, that producer is free on your meter. For an importer or a brand that means the farmers behind your suppliers, not a count of supplier contacts — eight suppliers of five hundred farmers each is four thousand producers of coverage. A producer is counted once however many plots, shipments or programmes they appear in.
What is a desk minimum?+
A minimum standing charge for access to the Export or Import desk: €99 with Export on, €149 once Import is on, and never both stacked. It exists because listing a handful of supplier contacts should not make a downstream organisation cheaper than the cooperative doing the fieldwork. Declare your chain coverage and you price on the brackets instead, with inclusion that grows with the chain you rely on. An origin-only cooperative is never subject to a desk minimum.
What if we have not mapped our suppliers yet?+
You are not asked to invent a farmer roster on day one. Run the desk on its minimum, with inclusion at the floor of five seals and three filings a month, and declare coverage as you map it. Declaring is the carrot rather than the stick: it raises what is included, and it is the only way the allowance can grow.
Is there a ceiling on event charges?+
Yes. Overage in a calendar month cannot exceed twice your standing charge, however many seals or filings you run. A month that goes badly cannot produce a bill you did not see coming.
